We have another sweet wedding on the blog today!

Josh & Andi are one of the sweetest couples we have had the pleasure to work with. They are both so laid back and relaxed, it made their wedding day a breeze! Andi designed her entire wedding herself, from the beautiful rustic centerpieces to the maple orange and cranberry-colored details, and she kept all of it a secret from Josh! When I took Josh into the reception hall to shoot a few formals in front of the beautiful windows, he kept saying "I can't believe she did all this herself, it's all so beautiful!" And it was! She really put her heart and soul into not only creating a gorgeous theme, but to personalizing every detail. Andi even found THE CUTEST little figurines from Josh's favorite book series and turned them into boutonnierres for the guys! They were so neat!

Andi & Josh did a sweet "first look" by the lake, and as soon as he turned around, Josh took a moment to take in his beautiful bride. He stood there for a few moments just looking at how gorgeous she was in her wedding gown, and y'all, she was beautiful! We had such a relaxed afternoon, laughing and getting to know the sweet friends and family that came to witness Josh & Andi exchange vows.

The ceremony was beautiful, with a sand ceremony that symbolized the eternal promise they were making to each other. Tears were shed, rings were exchanged, and Andi & Josh shared their first kiss as husband and wife!

The reception hall was decorated from top to bottom with beautiful fall-themed bouquets, mason jars, and their cake was one of the most detailed we have seen! Topsy-turvy-style and designed to look like tree stumps, topped with the cutest little owl "bride" & "groom!" There was an awesome s'mores bar and a surprise key-lime layer of the wedding cake--which we may have had an extra slice of!  A father/daughter dance turned hilarious hoedown was the highlight of the night! Sweet toasts were given by Josh's brother, his best man, and by Andi's cousins (her bridesmaids) and the DJ did a great job keeping everyone entertained and dancing. He even played a game with the guests to find out which couple in attendance had been married longest--a sweet couple dancing at their table won with 65 years of marital bliss! How cool is that?!

Shooting weddings is something we really love to do here at Chic Weddings and we LOVE our job! Capturing these priceless moments for our couples is such a priviledge, one we don't take lightly! Congratulations, Josh & Andi, we wish you all the happiness in the world! Thank you for including us in your beautiful day!

It's rainy, cold, and ugly outside today, but THIS wedding is the perfect combination of beautiful and romantic!

Ariel & Nic chose the incredible Hightower Falls venue in Cedartown, GA that featured a giant antique stone grist mill and a natural 80-foot waterfall. When we arrived at the venue that day, Emily and I looked at each other and said "Oh my goodness, this might be the most magical wedding venue we have ever had the pleasure to shoot at!" We were in wedding photography heaven!

We began the day shooting inside the adorable bridal cabin on the property, where Ariel surprised her bridesmaids with personalized, hand-made dress hangers that I made for them! Dark burgundy dresses and individualized cowboy boots were the attire for Ariel's girls, and they complimented Ariel's incredible lace wedding gown so well! (Just look at those gorgeous sleeves!) We headed over to the guys and found them with glasses of bourbon and cigars. This was such a fun bridal party!

The ceremony was held on the grassy area adjacent to the historical mill and right in front of the stunning waterfall. Guests walked over the "Bridge of Love" to enter the space, and got a perfect view of the falls through the trees. It was SO beautiful! Not only was the scenery gorgeous, but the ceremony was equally beautiful with Ariel & Nic tying a "God's Knot" while a friend sang "How Great Thou Art," which had everyone in tears! Ariel & Nic exchanged vows, rings, and shared their first kiss as husband and wife in front of sweet family and friends!

A reception was held in Coosa Hall, an open-air barn up the path from the ceremony spot, and Ariel and her mother did a phenomenal job choosing decor. Burgundy details, champagne linens, with gray & toupe accents really gave the whole place a "rustic romance" feel.  An emotional father-daughter dance, sweet toasts by the maid of honor and best man, and a hilarious karaoke-style duet sang by the bride and a close friend were just a few of the highlights of this awesome reception. A toast was even given by Nic's niece and everyone was, once again, in tears!  DSW Entertainment did an awesome job keeping the dance floor filled and the whole reception really was a celebration! Ariel & Nic personalized every aspect of their reception including boot-shaped shot glasses (filled with "moonshine"!), an over-sized Jenga game that served as their guest book, and the delicious wedding cake & cupcakes were made by a good friend and groomsmen, Logan Lepo.

We had an amazing time shooting this wedding! I can remember thinking "this wedding is so fun!" several times throughout the night and my assistant, Emily said she thought the same thing! We are so lucky to capture such special memories for our couples. Nic & Ariel, your wedding was incredible, and we wish you an incredible life together!

Another beautiful wedding on the blog today! We are busy, busy, busy here at Chic Weddings wrapping up the last few galleries of the Fall wedding season and looking forward to sharing all of them with you!

I first met Brittany & Adrian when I did their engagement session at the top of Pine Mountain earlier this year, and they are such an awesome couple! I had a great time getting to know them and loved hearing how they enjoy traveling and shopping. They are so clearly in love and I couldn't wait to spend their wedding day along side them! They chose to have their wedding at Pine Mountain Club Chalets in Pine Mountain, GA right next to a beautiful lake, surrounded by serene trees. We had perfect weather, a little overcast, which surprisingly provides beautiful lighting for photos! Brittany & Adrian did a "first look" and you can see the genuine love all over Adrian's face when he sees his beautiful bride!

During an intimate ceremony, and surrounded by close friends and family, Brittany & Adrian said their vows and used a sand ceremony to symbolize the promise they were making. An elegant and fun reception followed, with the hilarious "Shoe Game" that we are really growing to love! It is such a fun addition to a wedding reception! Brittany chose black, white, and red as their wedding colors and we loved the sweet details and elegant decor! A gorgeous cake, some delicious food, and a great DJ really made their reception one to remember.

Congratulations, Brittany & Adrian! Thank you for trusting us to capture your beautiful wedding day! We wish you all the best!

This wedding was one for the books, y'all!

Desiree & Christopher said their marriage vows in the River Terrace Room at the Rivermill Event Centre in downtown Columbus, GA, with beautiful light and exposed brick, elegant details, and a bridal party full of sweet friends and family.

The entire day was so fun! Both families were so welcoming and relaxed, we instantly felt like we were old friends instead of wedding vendors! Desiree & Christopher chose plum, gold, and grey as their wedding colors which looked lovely for their "Vintage Romance" theme.  What an amazing job styling their centerpieces, ceremony details and overall decor with the help of Ms. Anita of The Perfect Plan Design & Decor!

Their ceremony began with a beautiful processional of friends and family and a cute little ring bearer and flower girl, but the highlight was when they joined together a unity cross, a beautiful symbol of the sacred vow of marriage. We had a fantastic time with the bridal party, family, and newlyweds following the ceremony for their photo sessions! You could clearly see that these high school sweethearts were made for each other!  As Desiree says "We met through our love of music and have been best friends ever since.  From big curly hair to braids and braces...we've been through it all.  Chris and I went from prom date to soul mates!"

Following the newlyweds first dance, Emily (my assistant) and I tried our best to shoot through tears for the Mother/Son & Father/Daughter dances! Those dances are so incredibly special, but Desiree & Christopher's parents were just amazingly sweet so we cried right along with them during those priceless moments. The reception was lively and exciting, and ended in an awesome tunnel of bubbles sending the Ross's to their honeymoon in Mexico!

We are so grateful to have captured such a special day, full of beautifully sweet moments! This will definitely be remembered as one of the most love-filled weddings we have ever had the privilege of documenting. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Ross! We wish you the very best!

Raise your hand if you are LOVING this crisp Fall weather! *raises both hands*

Another sweet wedding on the blog today! Pine Mountain Club Chalets is a gorgeous venue tucked away in the woods of Pine Mountain, Ga--the perfect spot for Bracie & Jackson to say "I do!" A beautiful ceremony on the lake was followed by a lively party in an elegant and rustic reception hall! Vintage details, a gorgeous pastel bouquet, and beautiful wedding gown captured the Vintage Elegance style perfectly.

It was a pleasure getting to work with Bracie & Jackson again since photographing their engagement back in May! They chose to write each other letters that they shared and read during their First Look.  They are perfect for each other, and I am so glad I got to witness their beautiful wedding day. Take a look at some of our favorites from the day!
